My PhD dissertation investigated what makes bilingual children and adults better predictors in online language comprehension. Using eye-tracking in visual world paradigm and a multitude of background tasks, I focused specifically on the role of language experience and proficiency in predictive language processing under the supervision of Dr. Susanne Brouwer, Dr. Sharon Unsworth, and Professor Falk Huettig.
My Master's project focused on evidentiality in Turkish and examined the online language processing skills of Turkish-English bilinguals living in Canada.
Currently I am involved in another research project on pronoun resolution in bilingual children together with Dr. Chantal Van Dijk.
